The Streets of St. Charles and Cullinan Properties Host 3rd Annual Honduran Street Party Run

(ST. CHARLES, MO, February 23, 2016) – On March 26th The Streets of St. Charles and Cullinan Properties will host the 3rd annual Honduran Street Party Run. The event will feature your choice of a 5K run, a 10K run or a 1 mile fun run. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each of seven categories, for both male and female. Over 1000 runners and spectators from more than 10 states have attended for the past two years, even some from Australia. The race will also feature a “beat the piñata” contest in which runners who beat the piñatas’ race times will win special prizes. The Street Party Run offers a variety of vendor booths and food and drink from the restaurants at Streets of St. Charles. All proceeds will benefit Timmy’s Mountain – Just Because We Care, an organization founded by Streets of St. Charles tenant Bob Wamhoff and his wife Diane in 2003. The organization feeds and educates children in a small mountain village in Honduras. Last year’s event raised over $30,000.

Event checkin will begin at 7:30 a.m. The 5K and 10K run both start at 8:30, with the 1 mile fun run starting immediately after. The event features oncourse hydration stations and chip timing with onsite results. Runners’ swag is a tshirt, custom medal and a fleece earband/headband. No shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrants after 3/10/2016. The postrace party will be held onsite after the run, and will include the award ceremony for overall male and female winners, age group winners and beat the piñata winners.
