Streets of St. Charles lands new hotel geared toward millennials
Construction of a new Hilton hotel is underway at the Streets of St. Charles.
The five-story, 87-room hotel will be geared toward millennials through a new Hilton brand, Tru, that targets budget-conscious shoppers willing to spend $75 to $95 per night.
The hotel is expected to be complete by spring 2018, Cullinan Properties Ltd., the real estate firm that manages the Streets of St. Charles, said in a statement on Monday.
The 27-acre mixed-use development along Interstate 70 just across the river from Hollywood Casino, encompasses retail, dining, residential and office spaces that is designed to feel like an urban neighborhood.
"Hilton saw the demand for a midscale hotel in St. Charles, as both business and leisure travelers are attracted to its proximity to St. Louis and its own unique character."
Tru will be the second hotel at the Streets of St. Charles. Drury Inn & Suites plans to open this summer.
The development also announced a restaurant chain that focuses on brunch will open soon. First Watch The Daytime Café is expected to open this summer, near Pieology.
