AMC Theatres has agreed to open an eight-screen movie theater in the Streets of St. Charles project, according to developer Cullinan Properties Ltd.

The $385 million Streets of St. Charles mixed-use development is located at Interstate 70 and South Fifth Street, on the former site of Noah's Ark restaurant.

The 40,000-square-foot theater is slated to open in fall 2014 as part of a new 400,000-square-foot residential/entertainment building currently under construction. It will be located adjacent to the 1,250-space parking garage that opened in the center last month, Cullinan officials said.

Tenants at Streets of St. Charles include Tucanos Brazilian Grill, MassageLuxe, Wamhoff Financial Planning and the Art Institute of St. Louis, with Bar Louie slated to open in the development in the spring, Cullinan officials said.
